Position Description

We are seeking a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for callers and visitors and play a critical role in exemplifying the welcoming and professional manner with which we treat our clients and guests. You will collaborate with our Office Manager, Principals, and design professionals in support of our mission.

This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Spokane office and requires working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

As a Receptionist, you will be an integral team member in our Administration group as you:

  • Maintain the reception area and lobby in a warm and inviting manner
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or location
  • Answer, screen, and direct calls on a multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner; take messages and/or forward telephone calls to the appropriate person
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing mail distribution, UPS, FedEx and courier services
  • Ensure all conference rooms are clean, stocked and ready for meetings
  • Monitor conference room calendars and provide solutions to schedule conflicts
  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and faxing
  • Assist on projects with the Admin Team or for Project teams as requested
  • Demonstrate a proactive mindset by anticipating the needs of the team and taking initiative to ensure a smooth and efficient office environment
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance to ensure the office is open and operational by 8:00 AM each business day

 

Position Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in an office setting
  • Experience with a multi-line phone system, preferably Zoom or a similar online platform
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Outgoing and welcoming personality
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Position Preferences

  • An understanding of the architectural, engineering, and/or construction (AEC) industry.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Software

 

Salary Range

This position offers $18/hr - $22/hr with a midpoint at $20/hr. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience and market.
